Apache OpenOffice (AOO) Bugzilla – Issue 35148
Labels Format autocorrects to only 2 decimal places
Last modified: 2017-05-20 11:19:53 UTC
In Writer, do: File>New>Labels Choose Brand "Avery Letter Size", Type "8460 Ink Jet Address" Click on the Format tab. (10 of these labels measure 10+1/32 inch instead of just 10 inches. The label contents print higher and higher on the label for each successive row of lables.) To correct this, I need to set the vertical pitch and Height to (10+1/32)/10=1.003125. When I try to change the entry '1.00"' to 1.003", it is "autocorrected" to 1.00". Don't autocorrect so that precision is lost! If you can't keep a full floating point word of precision (I don't see why you can't.), then keep 4 decimal digits-not just two.
reassigned to HI.
HI->OS: From my point of view it is nearly not visible. But see by your self.

It makes almost no difference on one label. However, when you have 10 of them on a page, the cumulative error makes a difference of whether the last label prints properly. (It doesn't. It looks bad. We want something that looks better than on Microsoft, not worse.) Thanks, Steve
Successfully replicated with OOo 1.1.3, UBUNTU Linux 5.04 running on a P4 1.7 GHz 512MB RAM machine.
