Steps:
using a original solver tree and a unchanged source tarball. dmake in instsetoo
builds witout any problem.

Result:
The resulting setup.exe in instsetoo/wintmsci3.pro/normal exits without any
error message directly after starting the process.

how did actually *build* on Win 2000? Our builds are done on Win NT.

I did not get any feedback so this issue 'got lost'... I in the meantime 
know that you can build on W2000 (thought it works only on 98/nt with some 
guarantee). Let me know whether this problem still persists or is still of 
interest.

As discussed with Armin, he thought these bug were closed, he sees all of them
as verified.
