Apache OpenOffice (AOO) Bugzilla – Issue 403
New mailing list not working
Last modified: 2003-12-06 14:52:32 UTC
Now, where was I. I just created a new module in the whiteboard project, called OOBean. This appears to have gone smoothly, but we'll see when Torsten tries to access it. Next, i created a mailing list in the whiteboard project for OOBean, and I called it (drumroll) OOBean. The Admin interface reported back that "OOBean@openoffice created". Yet, when i try and send mail to OOBean@whiteboard.openoffice.org the mail bounces. Please investigate and resolve; bring in edk as necessary. Here is the bounced message: *********************************************** Date: 8 Feb 2001 23:05:36 -0000 From: MAILER-DAEMON@openoffice.org To: goolie@laswell.collab.net Subject: failure notice Hi. This is the qmail-send program at openoffice.org. I'm afraid I wasn't able to deliver your message to the following addresses. This is a permanent error; I've given up. A perl module failed to lower case the name of the list before calling ezmlm-make; arguably this is a bug in ezmlm-make, but it's simple enough to fix before calling that. The result was that your list was created with a file which qmail couldn't find, 'cause qmail looks for the lower case version (.qmail-whiteboard-oobean) ... That's been changed, with the change in cvs, and after mucking with things for a little while, I think it's in good shape.
As agreed by Louis I will close these resolved fixed kat (support)-owned issues now. If you have trouble with that, please re-open the issue.
