Apache OpenOffice (AOO) Bugzilla – Issue 41922
Suggestion for Absolute Center Marker
Last modified: 2014-03-24 19:50:14 UTC
I think it would be helpful to have a marker that could be turned on/off that shows where the absolute center of a doc is. It could be something as unobtrusive as a little red or some other colored dot on the very top of the horizontal toolbar. This would be helpful to know where to quickly put a center tab or for creating columns. I'm not a programmer so I cannot do anything to make this happen. Just an idea.
Splendid idea - why not extend it to the Draw & presentation modules too? Me, I'd put it in the ruler. Why not generalise - a set of little red ticks in the ruler to indicate the window in ISO envelopes would be good too. Nice opportunity for product differentiation here.
reassigned to "requirements".
