Apache OpenOffice (AOO) Bugzilla – Issue 42003
Text size, position are not saved in export as emf/wmf
Last modified: 2013-02-07 22:37:56 UTC
The initial text position, size, colour etc can be set once an EMF or WMF file is pasted from a theme, but it isn't saved when you create a drawing, group it and then save. That means if you are drawing a diagram with lots of items from a given theme, you need to hand-position the text each time, which is a real pain. I don't really care which format it is saved as that has this information, but it doesn't seem like any of the OO formats are supported as theme elements, so it has to be exported as something.
Can you attach a bgudoc and a screenshot where the problem is visible? Do you mean a gallery theme when you say "theme"? Please give a detailed description to reproduce the issue. Thanks in advance.

If I understand you right this can all be managed by just setting up an own style. Assign this style to your objects and everything will be fine. Otherwise Office will just use its default settings which will fit your needs very seldom.
Closed. Thanks for your help.
Yes, you maybe able to assign that style to your objects, but then different objects need to have different styles and there doesn't seem to be any way to automatically assign different styles to different objects automatically whenever they are pasted in. It would be much nicer if it simply remembered the style information when an object is re-used so that there is one less step to do. dia has this feature, and so does visio (although in both of those cases, there is a lot more you can save and setup as well.)
Changing to enhancement.
