Apache OpenOffice (AOO) Bugzilla – Issue 42118
Provision for dimensions in microns (0.001mm)
Last modified: 2013-02-07 22:32:25 UTC
Hello dear Helper. Basically I am very happy using OO drawing capabilities. However, it would be much better and more accurate for me, as I work with very small dimensions designing products and equipment in "mymeter", if the capability to get three decimal points was given. Thanks for making this real.
Reassigned.
You can right-click each dimension line, go to dimensioning dialog and set the line to three decimal points manually. Besides this there is no default method to set all lines to three decimal points. Reassigned.
Thanks for hint with click-right etc. However it does not help as: a. There is no way to draw objects with three decimal points. b. The dimension line only show two decimal points. It would really be very helpful to have the capability to create drawings with three decimal point "right through", as a choice. Many Thanks for working on this.
I think what the User is getting at, is actually providing the measurement units of 'Microns' (um) (0.001mm). This is used extensively in the scientific community and would be a useful addition to OOo. Changed Summary to reflect this.
