Apache OpenOffice (AOO) Bugzilla – Issue 42352
Help: import of bitmaps promised for page background
Last modified: 2013-08-07 15:21:02 UTC
When riht-clicking a slide and selecting slide > page setup and clicking on "backround", 5 fill options for the slide background are available. Upon selecting "bitmap", another set of options appears. These options do not include any functionality to import new bitmaps, although the OOo help says so: Clicking on "Help" in this context brings up a help text saying "Bitmap Fills the selected object with the bitmap pattern that you click in the list. To add a bitmap to the list, click the Bitmaps tab, and then click Import." This import button is missing along with its associated functionality. In addition, instead of a 'Bitmaps tab' there is a Bitmap radio button in the page setup window.
Since I do not know what is wrong here (missing functionality or the help promising something that should not be) I reassgn this to Chrisitian to decide what to do.
CJ: This is a feature which. It really makes sense, and we need to see lots of things changing regarding color and bitmap handling in OO.o 3.
It is now impossible in draw under OO 2.0 to add bitmaps to the bitmap list and to save a new *.sob file. If I delete an background, save an reopen a file, the deleted background bitmaps reappears. It is now much more worse than under 1.1.4.
Hello kabban, I have written issue 50119 for the described behaviour. Thanks for reporting this!
