Description Unknown 2002-05-02 01:15:24 UTC
OS: Windows 98 Second Edition 4.10.2222A

This issue is also evident in release 641D

When
drawing a 3D object by selecting it from the left hand menu, once dragged to the shape, letting go of
the mouse button displays the selection handles while the body of the selection remains blank,
then OO reports:

"An Unrecoverable error has occured"
"All modified files have been saved
and can probably be recovered at program restart"

Windows then reports an exception error in
glsis630.dll, the OpenGL driver for the SiS630 chispet, it then often blue screens, so I have not
been able to capture the exact details of the exception error. The SiS driver is version
4.13.01.2060 - 8-Jan-2002 from SiS.

No other program in the history of this machine has caused
exceptions in the SiS drivers.

The OpenOffice error message is 100% reproducable, the
Windows exception error about 60% and the blue screen about 30%.

Under Linux on the same
machine using FrameBuffers there are no problems - because there are no SiS drivers involved
evidently.

Reassigned to Wolfram.

Hallo, this seems to be a proplem with the Open GL driver. Some of
them are programmed quite grubby. This should help: turn off the Open
GL usage under tools/options/OpenOffice.org/view should solve your
problem.
