I had the Kaffe JVM installed but it was not recognised as a java "environment"
and I had to install the Sun JRE to get the database part of OpenOffice.org to
work. Why this is I'm not sure but navigating to the Kaffe directory by hand
didn't seem to help.

Kaffe is not supported yet. That's not a defect, works as designed. Changing
issue type to enhancement.

JL->trewornan: This is an issue for the porting folks. Please refer to the
dev@openoffice.org mailing list to find interested people who are willing to
build in support for this jre.
