Description peschtra 2005-03-25 04:17:54 UTC
When I double click on a new fonrwork object, it is unclear that I am allowed to
edit. It still looks the same. Once I press a key then the text editing box appears.

To duplicate:

Open Writer 1.9.87
open draw toolbar click the fontwork button
choose a format
double click on it. Nothing happens.
Type a letter, the text box shows up.

Technically it works, it just wasn't clear I could edit until I just
accidentally figured out the text editing box was open.

But there should be a cursor blinking in front of the "Fontwork"-Text
placeholder. Is it? Thanks in advance.

The edit box should appear right from the start to make it more visible to the
user that he/she is able to insert text now.

sj->aw: I am applying this issue to you, because my workload is too huge at the
moment.

It needs to be discussed with pm how we can improve the editability of Fontwork
objects. My first idea is to switch into edit mode after inserting such a
Fonwork, but who knows, maybe it is better to bring up a dialog with a text
field wherein the user can insert text.

AW: Shifted due to workload

AW->SJ: Back to You, my workload is bad, too (as can be seen from the date)...
