Apache OpenOffice (AOO) Bugzilla – Issue 50166
draw toolbar different in the suite elements
Last modified: 2013-08-07 15:31:33 UTC
Hi! The Draw toolbar (Show draw functions) is different in the OpenOffice.org applications. For examle: I tried to create a connector in Writer, but there is not connector button in Writer's Draw toolbar (and I can not add it via "visible button"s). I can do it easily in Impress. My advice is syncronise the Draw toolbar in every application. As I seen there is smarter Draw toolbar in Impress and Draw. So Writer and Calc should use at least Impress Draw toolbar or all aplication should use the union of draw, impress, writer and calc Draw toolbar.

Hi kami_ thanks for using and supporting OpenOffice.org... reassigned to cj mci -> cj: hi cj, please clarify if the changes are really needed, thanks...
Hi CJ! Have you got any opinion about this issue?
review to 2.0.1 would be nice...
I wanted to use connectors in a writer document, but found there is no button in writer's toolbar. There is a connector button in the draw toolbar though, and discovered that it is possible to draw a conenctor via the Draw application and copy/paste it into writer, and use as expected. Obviously the functionality is available, it just needs the toolbar change to access it. Another alternative would have been to use draw and insert the finished document into the writer document, but the insert->file menu item doesn't work (at least for me). PS: I think this issue (50166) is related to at least one other existing issue 36666
Do I agree, But this issue is more general than i36666... I hope this problem will resolved sooner than we think :o)

-> cj: At least can you confirm it, please?
well, confirming that the Draw toolbar ships with different items available for the different applications of OOo-dev 2.0 (m153)
mba -> Can you check this issue? Draw's toolbar has more options than others... Can you create union of draw bar functionality for every application of Openoffice.org? The target can be 2.0.4? Thanks, KAMI
Just because I was asked: toolbars and their conten are best reviewed by Christian Jansen.
