Apache OpenOffice (AOO) Bugzilla – Issue 60493
Restart after crash forgets -display -geometry and other options...
Last modified: 2017-05-20 11:31:28 UTC
Reproduction: 1) setenv DISPLAY xxx:0 2) soffice -display yyy:0 3) make soffice crash e.g. by killing it 4) enable the "launch after crash" checkbox in the crashreporter dialog => soffice restarts but on xxx:0 instead of yyy:0 Since a crash is bad a bad enough experience it shouldn't be made worse by not seeing anything. Especially not the recovery dialog.
Right. Actually most parameters (except some special ones) are dismissed at second start because it's not desired to open probably damaged documents again to avoid entering a crash loop. The right aproach should be that the loader passes all arguments to the office and the framework has to decide (as it know the command line syntax) wich parameters to forget.
