Apache OpenOffice (AOO) Bugzilla – Issue 60623
Document properties of embedded forms lost upon closing/re-opening
Last modified: 2008-08-12 15:58:59 UTC
- open the attached database document - View|Preview|Document Information - Open the form in the DBDoc for editing (context menu -> Edit) - in the form window, choose File|Properties - in the "File Properties" dialog, enter an arbitrary title for the document, and dismiss the dialog with OK - save the form (Ctrl-S) - switch to the DBDoc window, and select the form so that the document information is shown in the lower right preview pane => the newly entered title is properly shown - close the form - de-select (Ctrl-Mouse-Click) and re-select the form => the preview pane is reloaded => the Title is lost This makes the file properties for embedded documents pretty useless, as it seems that those settings are not really persistent.

The problem is that meta.xml isn't written into the storage when used as embedded object.

changing the target.
Meta-information was never written for embedded objects, writing it would be a new enhancement and since the UI does not allow to access this information the necessity of its storing is questionable. But the database forms should be able to store the meta-data, since it is a special case of embedded object. Should work now.
