Apache OpenOffice (AOO) Bugzilla – Issue 63724
Allow user to turn off perspective while dragging an object
Last modified: 2013-02-07 22:39:39 UTC
When a 3-D object is being dragged about, its perspective changes. Allow the user to turn it off, so that the object can be moved around without turning (i.e., without changing its shape). In addition, let the user change the "horizon" point of this perspective. >> A "near" horizon will cause the object to turn faster as it is moved. >> A "far" horizon will cause the object to turn slower as it is moved. (If this feature is already provided in Impress, then it is not mentioned in the online help.)
When you have done a double click onto the 3D object you have entered the "group" of the object. Then there is a perspective when dragging it arround. A simple clik on a non selected object lets you drag it arround without changing the perspective.
OK that solves one of the twoissues;l thanks. (BTW that is not mentioned in the help file at all.) We could move on to the second part (setting the 'horizon" for the perspective).
