Apache OpenOffice (AOO) Bugzilla – Issue 6449
Automatic glue points are visually weighted
Last modified: 2003-09-08 16:52:24 UTC
Whenever you create an object, "automatic" glue points are assumed at the "center" of each side. However, from the experimenting that I've done, it would appear that the center of a side is visually weighted. I designed an object that is approximately square in form but is more dense toward the bottom. The automatic glue point was placed 1 grid point down from the middle. When I balanced the object's density, the glue point moved back to the middle of the side. When I balanced the object's density but made the "ballast" invisible, the glue point moved back to it's original position, 1 grid point down from the middle. I'd be happy to send an example file, and would have attached one to this bug report, but I don't see a field to do that.
Created attachment 2242 [details] OO 1.0 Drawing file describing problem.
Sorry but I was not able to reproduce the described behaviour in any way. I have tested this lately on a version1.0.2. If the issue still occurs please feel free to reopen the issue. Thanks for your help.
