Open a presentation, close the "Tasks" pane on the right (click on the "x"),
select a slide in the "Slides" pane on the left, "Insert - Duplicate Slide": the
"Tasks" pane reappears.

This is a feature, not a bug:  When a new slide is inserted then in the task
pane the layout menu is made visible.  When the task pane is not visible then it
is opened first.

@MMP: Can you comment on this?  Is this is mis-feature?

by definition this is not a "bug" -- it conforms to the spec -- it is a a
featrure request.
I suppose it is a valid point raised here. I run into the same bothering
situation several times. I am happy that we have a task to figure out a better
behavior. (We "just" have to consider if there are similar cases with a sumilar
unfavourble reaction in the user interface and then I can update the spec).

Set the target to 2.x.
