Apache OpenOffice (AOO) Bugzilla – Issue 72211
WW8: header settings not correctly exported when different page styles are used
Last modified: 2017-05-20 11:25:41 UTC
If different page styles are used having different setting for the header, these settings are not correctly exported to word. in the attached example, there should be no no header from page 2 on. Although a separate section is generated, this uses the same header as the previous section.
Created attachment 41072 [details] original file as example
MRU->HBRINKM: export to WW8 format will add the first page style's header also to the second page's style. See attacnment (export it to WW8).

Hi Andre, *, as I would like to confirm the issue, I tried to download the file with opera, which finished really quick. After I have downloaded the file, I tried to open it in OOo 2.1RC2, but OOo reported an open file to me and asked me, if I want to repair it. After that, the file is empty ... :( Then I tried to download it via "wget -c -nd -nH http://www.openoffice.org/nonav/issues/ showattachment.cgi/41072/babyissue.odt", but only get "206 Partial Content" and wget tried to download it again and again ... So to me it seems, that the file is broken. Could someone verify this? Maybe a problem during the upload? Thomas. P.S: wget stopped the download after 20 tries of downloads ... :(
I think the key defect is that the property 'next style' in the page styles is not exported correct. Inserting hard break with different page style is exported correct. But in effect it is impossible to work on a multi page document with headers/footers and co-operate with someone using MsWord ... I've created issue 78723 and attached my findings/examples.
