Description lars 2002-08-25 03:31:40 UTC
some issues seem to be fixed, although not mentioned in 1.0.1 Release Notes
Comment 1 lduperval 2003-05-20 17:36:32 UTC
The same problem is still there (on the Web site at least) for the
later Betas. Each release should be accompanied by a detailed list of
issues fixed so people who have been plagued by the issue, but aren't
in the CC line for that issue in IssueZilla, can determine if the
current version will work for them or not.
Comment 2 settantta 2003-06-08 13:23:10 UTC
This appears to have been done. Lars, could you please close this
issue, or re-assign it to documentation or website. I'm still getting
notifications, but can't do anything to the status, and it really
doesn't seem to be a distibution thing.
Comment 3 lars 2003-06-08 15:49:46 UTC
a detailed history of what's new etc should include a list of all
issue numbers fixed etc.

this history should accompany the link to the downloadable executable.

therefore this has to be done on the website.

currently
http://www.openoffice.org/project/www/dev_docs/source/download.html
(the Downloads link on the left) mentions that Release Notes
accompany the website where the exe can be obtained from ("Release
Notes These are linked to from the relevant download page"), but
this is not the case, as you can see from
http://www.openoffice.org/project/www/dev_docs/source/1.0.3/index.html
 (the Application link).
Also the Release Notes for the Beta version are not a detailed
history.
Comment 4 lars 2003-06-08 15:52:15 UTC
I reassigned this to website component but this issue seems still to
be part of the distribution mailing list?
Comment 5 lars 2003-06-08 15:53:55 UTC
ah so this is a bug in IssueZilla:

changing component doesn't change the one the issue is assigned to.
reassigninmg subcomponent then does this.
Comment 6 lsuarezpotts 2003-06-09 23:17:40 UTC
hi
lars, can you come up with the list you want?
then, rather than complaining that such and such is not there, it will be :)
thanks

Comment 7 lars 2003-06-09 23:39:41 UTC
huh:

I'd have to know which issues are no issues anymore in one release
which had been issues in the previous release and what all the
differences are in one release compared to the previous one.

any idea where this information can be obtained from ?
Comment 8 lsuarezpotts 2003-06-09 23:57:12 UTC
usually, for queries like that, ask on releases: releases@openoffice.org.
We very much need someone to coordinate representing this data, so I'm sure you'll
get lots of help :)
thanks

As per previous posting: Verified -> Closed.
A Closed Issue is a Happy Issue (TM).
