Apache OpenOffice (AOO) Bugzilla – Issue 78166
Issue tracker unusable at large font sizes and small window sizes
Last modified: 2013-02-07 22:34:08 UTC
The issue tracker is unusable at large font sizes and small window sizes. Issue comments extend beyond the right edge of the browser's display area, and are too wide to fit, making it impossible to read issue comments without scrolling back and forth using the horizontal scrollbar.
@shinobu_maehara: You suggest some automatic word wrapping? What Browser do you use?
SBA: No answer, no valid issue. Set to Worksforme.
@Rainer Bielefeld: That would be a start. And having the fonts not so huge compared to other websites would probably help too. I'm getting 2 cm high letters over here and a horizontal scrollbar that covers about 1/3 to 1/2 of the page width, depending on the browser. The problem is worst in IE, but also extant in Safari and Firefox. I haven't tested in Konqueror, but it generally renders like Safari so I'd guess that's affected too.
Why should someone use 20mm characters? Are we talking about usability for disabled persons? @shinobu_maehara, can you please try to contribute an useful report in accordance to our guidelines on <http://qa.openoffice.org/issue_handling/pre_submission.html> and <http://www.openoffice.org/bugs/bug_writing_guidelines.html>? Additionally we nee d screenshots and URLss for web pages in accordance to your needs.
>Why should someone use 20mm characters? I don't know, I didn't design this bugtracker. It happens nowhere else.
Created attachment 61253 [details] As I said, it's easily worst in IE.
Created attachment 61254 [details] (Okay, so pasting the MIME type does work.) Safari.
Created attachment 61255 [details] Google in IE.
Created attachment 61256 [details] Google in Safari. (Note: I can't get Firefox to work on my pc anymore since the last Firefox update, so I can't supply a Firefox screenshot. Sorry.)
Worksforme. Can't understand what the reporter says and what the reporter would like to solve.
Closing
>Can't understand I don't understand what you can't understand. Is my description unclear in any way? If so, in what way? Do you have any questions? Do you think the way it displays, as shown in the screenshots I posted, is acceptable? (Reopening issue because "I don't understand it" doesn't seem like a valid reason for closing an issue.)
