Attached a PowerPoint file. Under Windows with PowerPoint 2003, the graphic is
ok; using OpenOffice_org-impress-2.3.0.1.2-9 of OpenSUSE 10.3 the graphic is
almost ok.

The graphic consists of two plots. The problems are the x-axis (abscissa) tics:
They should be only a few millimetres long, however, in OpenOffice they stretch
over the whole plot.

Sorry, not reproducible here. Do you use an orginal build from OOo or from some
other distributor (Suse for example)?

As written in the initial report, I'm using the openSUSE 10.3 package of SUSE.

After attempting to duplicate the issue for the downstream Novell OOo 2.3
packages, I noticed that the issue does happen when opening the document in the
Sun packages. I'll attach a screenshot comparing the difference between Office
2007 and the Sun and Novell Packages. Below is a list of the upstream packages
