Description liushibo_redflag 2008-04-28 03:59:25 UTC
Step to reproduce
1)Start a new impress with “title,text” layout.
2)Input some words, and add any custom animations.

4)click “title slide” in layouts pane.

Reproduce issue 88787
Comment 3 patrikw 2008-06-10 21:21:45 UTC
I have reproduced the issue above on following versions of OOo:
OOo-Dev 3.0.0 Beta m14 on Windows XP
OOo-Dev 3.0.0 Beta m14 on Linux (Ubuntu)
OOo 2.4.0 on Windows XP
OOo 2.4.0 on Linux (Ubuntu)

A clarification of the report:
In step 2 of the reproduction steps: The failure occurs only if the custom
animation is applied to the main text area (where it says “Click to add text”).
There is no failure if the custom animation is added to another object, for
example the Title text object.
To add a custom animation to an object: select the object, click menu option
“Slide Show”, “Custom Animation…”, and click the “Add…” button.

The issue is more general than the original reporter observed:
1) The failure occurs if the slide layout is changed from “Title Slide” to any
of the slide types with the word “Text” in them, or if the slide layout is
changed from any one of the layouts with the word “Text” in them to the “Title
Slide” layout.
2) Not only custom animations are deleted, many other settings are also deleted.
The following settings from the right mouse button click menu are deleted/reset
to default values when the slide layout is changed according to 1 above:
* Line
* Area
* Paragraph: only the “Indent” part, and only when changing to “Title Slide”,
not when changing from “Title Slide”
* Description
* Name
* Interaction
Only the following settings are kept intact when changing the slide layout
according to 1 above:
* Character
* All Paragraph settings except for the “Indent” part

I have attached a file (Reproduce_88787.odp) in which some the problems above
can be seen. If you change the layout of the first slide to “Title, Text”, the
text area will lose its settings with regard to Line, Area and Custom animation.
If you change the layout of the second slide to “Title Slide”, the same thing
will happen.
