Very poor results with the Swiss German spell checker

The Swiss German spell checker marks almost any word (even very common words) as incorrect or unknown. This means: the Swiss German word pool is very poor indeed. The Open Office Swiss German spell checker is obviously also used for projects like Firefox and Thunderbird. Therefore I think it is very important, that the spell checking word pool is as extensive as possible. I'm ready to contribute a list of numerous words to the project. Are you interested? How can I contribute?
Do you install the Swiss German dictionary by an OpenOffice.org 3 extension? (I think, your data means OOo 3 beta and not the given 1.0.3.) If yes, it is an extension problem. Maybe the extension contains only the extra Swiss German words instead of the common German + extra Swiss German words.
I don't speak of a distinct version of Open Office. In fact my issue concerns the Firefox and Thunderbird spell checker. I announced my concern there but the answer was: both Firefox and Thunderbird obtain their spell checking files from the Open Office project. I was advised to contact the Open Office project. And here I am :-)
I have checked the Swiss German plug-in, and it seems good for me. Maybe your problem is not the Swiss German dictionary, but the default de_DE or other language settings of the text areas. You can check and modify it by the local menu of the text areas: right click, and see Languages->German/Switzerland.
