Apache OpenOffice (AOO) Bugzilla – Issue 90145
Make custom show override hidden slides
Last modified: 2017-05-20 10:55:26 UTC
See $subject. When a custom show references hidden slides (which is perfectly possible from the UI), this should override the hidden state. Competitive analysis: ppt does it like that. ;-)

Sounds like a good idea. AF->CL: This is your area of expertise.
ppt 2007does not show hidden slides in custom shows. Not showing a slide may be an error, but showing a slide that a user has hidden by purpose is a security issue. Closing this issue

Then make it at least consistent on UI level - currently, a user can still select a hidden slide for custom shows, with no indication that this slide won't show up. All older PPT versions do show the slide, and I guess there are at least as many cases where a user is embarrassed by _not_ showing it in Impress...
...compared to the number of cases where confidential content is shown, I wanted to finish the sentence. ;-)
ppt indicates hidden slides by parenthesize slide number during creation of custom show. maybe we can do something similar.
