Description domingo_sgv 2008-11-03 10:10:07 UTC
Problem by wiki sides with openoffice.writer generated:

[[ ]] are not identified as Wiki syntax and interpreted as <nowiki>

Example: <nowiki>[[it:Pagina_principale]]</nowiki>
Comment 1 mikhail.voytenko 2008-11-03 10:40:12 UTC
First of all it is definitely no P1. Changing the target.

Am I right with my understanding that the brackets are in the text that is shown
in the Writer. And after the export they are visible in the Wiki? In this case
it is no bug, the intention of the WikiExtension is to let the exported
wiki-content look as close to the view shown by the Writer as possible. Please
correct me if I have misunderstood the scenario.

The recognition of [[]] as Wiki syntax would be a feature which is pretty out of
scope of the extension: you write WYSIWYG in Writer and no wiki syntax.
I think we could close as WONTFIX.

The wikipublisher are not able to identified the domain links [[level1:level2]]
on the text.

Example:

[[level1:level2]]
text,	text, text, text

The wikipublisher translate this text to

<tt><nowiki>[[level1:level2]]</nowiki></tt>
text,	text, text, text

As es has already written the writer does not accept wiki syntax at all, this
syntax is out of scope of the extension. The text is currently handled in the
way that it looks in writer exactly the same as in result wiki page.

The intension of the wiki extension is to allow to export documents to wiki,
there is no special support for wiki syntax.

It could change in future if it is decided to implement possibility to edit wiki
pages. In this case the roundtrip should be supported as well as wiki features.
Currently there are no resources to do so.
