Description janbaloun 2009-01-05 21:03:15 UTC
A snap line exists and you want to know its coordinate. Use a mouse right
button and Edit snap line. You have a good coordinate in OOo v.2 but no in OOo
v.3. Its all.

A small wish. For a displacement or creating a new snap line could be good to
have a possibility to put a new coordinate retalively to an existing snap line.
For example. A snap line 250 exists. You catch it coordinate and type 250+50.
Now you can choose to have a NEW LINE or DISPLACEMENT of an old one.

Ah I can see. Instead of the "Edit Snap Line" dialog the "New Snap Line" Dialog
comes up.
Reassigned.

Sorry, no INSTED OF the "Edit Snap Line" dialog the "New Snap Line" Dialog
comes up but the "Edit Snap Line" dialog AND the "New Snap Line" Dialog.

The "Edit Snap Line" dialog is a problem in OOo3. If you have a snap line x=10
and can catch the line and use a right mouse button for edit, You receive x=10
in OOo2 but x=11,01 or 10,57 in OOo3. It is impossible to find the right
position of the line in OOo3.

The "New Snap Line" Dialog is only my wish for a better work.

That you get the wrong dialog is already tracked in issue 94775. Therefore this
issue should be concentrate on improving the dialog.

janbaloun: When you use the Edit dialog, you can see that there is the current
position filled in, like it has been in older OOo versions. You can get the Edit
dialog, if you do not use the mouse. Position the mouse over the snap line, so
that you see the left-right-array and do not touch the mouse further. Open the
context menu via Shift+F10 or context menu key. Press the underlined character
of the item on the keyboard.
