Hello, I have an MS exel file that I cannot open in the scalc, but in the Ms
Exel I can do.

The error that it show me is:

Error loading document file://my_file.xls

Read-error

This file is password-protected

But when I open the same file in Ms Exel, it doesn't ask me for a password, and
I can open the file with no problem

Hi Lázaro,

the file is protected !

Have a look at Extras - Protection - Workbook protection.

This is engaged and therefore the file is encrypted. It's MS Style so
we ccan't do anything about it.

Have a look at Issue 402 which this one is a double too.

Sorry, where is this option?

It is Tools->... in an English Excel. The menu between Format and Data
menu.
