Description bill.roth 2001-01-19 02:02:01 UTC
Digests do not show up in outlook express, since it does show attachments
inline. Does the mailing list programs generate an HTML mail?
Comment 1 Unknown 2001-01-23 01:49:48 UTC
Our mailing lists do not have the ability to generate HTML email at this time.

I will see if i can gather any other information.

Please do not mix up differrent issues.
What I'm asking for in 294 is, that ezmlm should accept HTML for the new
features lists.
Bill is asking for sending digests in HTML by ezmlm here. This may be an
enhancement for ezmlm.

accepting issue

Generally speaking, the folks who work with open source tools such as ezmlm are
not fond of HTML mail. It would be possible to generate such, one way or
another -- but I seriously doubt that any such enhancement would make its way
into the ezmlm distribution.

What is the precise problem with outlook? It'd be nice to find some way to
solve it which doesn't require using HTML email. Too many people will have
difficulty reading HTML mail (esp. w/ open source projects) for that to be an
ideal solution ...
