Apache OpenOffice (AOO) Bugzilla – Issue 92
Installation failes 6.09
Last modified: 2003-12-06 14:52:34 UTC
I installed OO 6.09 as root with /net switch in /usr/local/openoffice60 Everything went ok. Then as a regular user I ran soffice in /usr/local/openoffice60/program. I installed a regular ws installation. Then as user I started soffice in /program or in ~/.openoffice and the repair/deinstall dialog comes up. I can't start soffice! I have RH 7.0 with all upgrades applied + HelixCode. I use kernel 2.4.0-test10 ( I think that is the problem). I have strace output if anyone wants to see... Unfortunately I can't try the installation on a 2.2 kernel... /Richard
Created attachment 13 [details] Strace output when running soffice as regular user
Same thing with OO605. I presume now that it is a 2.4.* thing... /Richard
No it isn't I got a mail from one user claiming to use 2.2.* kernel. /Richard
