A cell is date formatted. "1.1.01" is entered. The input is confirmed by
using tab or enter. The cell displays "01.02.01".

This happens with january of any year tested so far.

Moreover, in the format selection the choices are "31.13.99" or such. Should I 
log a seperate issue for the latter?

All months are simply displayed with an offset by one, day of week similar.
Fixed in L10N/i18n/source/calendar/calendarImpl.cxx r1.6 and hopefully makes its 
way into OO619B
